Our Mission

Giving Sadaqah empowers communities to rise from the darkness of poverty and to promote sustainable change by providing access to free education and welfare.

Our Values

The definition of EMPATHY is the ability to recognize, understand and share the feelings of others through compassionand mercy.The Values of Giving Sadaqah are driven by the qualities of the beautiful that God AlMighty has ordained for Himself. It is also guided by the teachings of the Prophet Mohammed (Peace be upon him) who taught us to value Empathy.

 

The following points further explains our Values:

Commitment: Our actions are transparent and open. Always acting in the interests of orphans as our desire is to be close to Prophet Mohammed (Peace be upon him)in the Hereafter as per the related Hadith where he raised two fingers to express the unity between himself and those who help orphans.
Understanding: Showing empathy. Giving a helping hand to those in need and at times of distress, irrespective of their background as every human alive today is part of the “Ummah” that the Prophet prayed so much for.
Integrity: Consistency and fairness is dealing with anyone, a child or an elderly person in need.
Compassion: Standing by what we believe when we need to challenge accepted wisdom and find amiable solutions.

Our Five Strategic Aims Deliver Our Vision And Mission By:

Understanding Need: We will ensure we understand and adapt to the needs of those we support.

Delivering consistent & effective support: We will alleviate suffering and distress by providing appropriate, timely and effective support.

Sustaining our resources: We will strive to campaign in any way possible to ensure that our commitment to those in need are met on a timely basis. As an example to highlight this, we need a minimum of £5,000 per month to maintain and sponsor our schools in Somaliland.
Raising our profile & strengthening our brand:We will strive to be recognised, known and understood.
Growing collaboration : We will work together within the organisation and with external partners.

What Makes Us Unique?

Giving Sadaqah is focused on promoting access to free education as a primary goal for enhancing opportunities for orphans and those in need. We are committed to projects where education is a prime factor as it has been proven to provide a means of sustainable development for hundreds of orphans who have completed the free Primary education in our Schools. Many of these orphans have matured into successful adults who advanced on to Secondary education and have either started a small business or have taken up jobs through which they are able to provide for their families.

Moral

Giving Sadaqah invites you to refresh your MORALS, through donations as per the teachings of the Prophet (PBUH), and help “Make Orphans Resourceful & Liberated Students”


Abū Hurayrah (RA) related that the Prophet (PBUH) said: “I have only been sent to perfect good moral character.” [Hadith - Musnad Ahmad (8595)]

Our Governance

Giving Sadaqah is governed by the Trustees as duly noted with the UK Charities Commission.

Trustees are ultimately responsible for all matters concerning governance, legal & financial operations & strategic direction
